Lantern Festival Double Savings Promo 2017
These terms govern the Flick Energy Limited (“Flick”) 2017 Lantern Festival double savings promotion from 4 February 2017 to 19 February 2017 ("the 2017 Lantern Festival Promo”).
These 2017 Lantern Festival Promo terms apply in addition to the standard Flick Terms and Conditions.
The 2017 Lantern Festival Promo is for new residential Flick customers who:
a) apply to join Flick between 4 February 2017 to 19 February 2017, and who Flick can serve and who have successfully completed switching (including passing any necessary credit checks) by 15 March 2017; and
b) either use the specified 2017 Lantern Festival Promo form to register their interest or enter the promo code ROOSTER when signing up on the Flick website.
The 2017 Lantern Festival Promo gives eligible customers double the amount of savings for the first three months following the date by which all customers eligible for the promotion must have completed switching, 15 March 2017. This will be the period of 16 March 2017 – 14 June 2017 (“the Guaranteed Period”).
On every ordinary Flick bill, Flick calculates the amount a customer has saved compared to their previous retailer (calculated in accordance with clause 7 below). To make good on the double savings promise for the Guaranteed Period, within two weeks following the Guaranteed Period the customer’s account will be credited with the amount of savings made during the Guaranteed Period.
If an eligible customer does not make any savings during the Guaranteed Period, Flick will add NZ$50 credit to their account within two weeks following the Guaranteed Period.
Savings calculations are made by comparing a customer’s Flick plan to their previous retailer’s standard comparable published plan, for their network & metering set up, at the time they joined Flick (taking account of things like whether the customer is a standard or low user, whether they have uncontrolled power, or controlled hot water etc). Flick include their previous retailer’s prompt payment discount in the calculations, but do not include any potential alternative plans, discounts which are additional to a customer’s old plan such as dual fuel, or other bundled services, e-bills or extra direct debit discounts. If a customer is moving into a new property, or were with Powershop, Globug, Electric Kiwi, or any spot-based, prepay or peer-to-peer retailer Flick will compare a customer’s total spend with Flick against the biggest retailer in the area.
Customers lifetime-to-date savings figure that appears in their Flick dashboard will not include the extra savings made by virtue of benefitting from the 2017 Lantern Festival Promo and credited to the customer’s account.

The 2017 Lantern Festival Promo excludes existing Flick customers.
The 2017 Lantern Festival Promo does not apply if during the Guaranteed Period a customer:
a) switches away from Flick; or
b) has been in Flick’s debt process.
